A strategically pattered array of over 60 colors and 1,189 spray caps were meticulously painted one by one and affixed onto a custom painted aluminum backdrop in a uniformed pixel like grid. Each cap is mounted on an aluminum rod to give a floating effect and more artistic appearance.

Many of the caps that were used to construct this piece were repurposed from previous paintings. There were over 12,000 individual steps required to complete this large scale butterfly art piece.
